Is Delicakes Registered?

I am registered with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council Environmental Health Department who have inspected the kitchen and premises and I am delighted to say have awared my processes and my kitchen the maximum score for Hygiene.

 

When is Delicakes open?

We are open for collecting cakes by arrangement - these are always agreed with you by email at the time of order.   I don't take calls when decorating cakes - they are too precious to suffer interruptions. How much notice do you need for a Birthday Cake?

Two - four weeks is about right for normal sized birthday cakes - anything with more than one tier or carved cakes should be ordered as soon as possible. 

What about cupcakes - how much notice to guarantee an order?

 Two weeks is perfect for cupcake orders - however if you want over 4 dozen then one months notice is appreciated.

How long can I keep my cakes after collection/delivery?

Fondant iced cakes will keep for 2-3 days uncut in a cool room in the delivery box. Cupcakes should be eaten within 24 hours of collection or delivery.

Do you deliver or do I collect my cakes?

Wedding cakes and very large orders are delivered free of charge where the value is over £500. Smaller value orders can be delivered by advance agreement. We do not use couriers as setting up a wedding cake/ cupcake tower is all part of the service.

Can I hire a cake stand / cupcake stand?

There are a  wide variety of cake stands for hire, if your cakes are over £250 the stand hire is free. Cake stands are available to hire from £20 with a £40 deposit per stand.

How much do Delicakes cost?

Some say reassuringly expensive!! No seriously a 7" round birthday cake with decorations boxed and ready to party is £49. A dozen hand decorated cupcakes are £30 and Wedding cakes are from £400. Any size or shape cake be made and all non standard cakes are individually priced.

 Can you make my cake Gluten or Egg Free?

 No problem - any ingredient that you have an allergy to can be excluded from your cake. So not nuts - no problem, wheat free or gluten free I can offer flour substitutes and of course no eggs or Vegan cakes will still be as yummy as traditional ones. Just tell me about your allergy when you order.
